A nation called Nigeria existed but now Naira is below value. Nigeria is a corrupt and rich country in the African continent where few political leaders have no shame that the citizenry will get poorer every day and nobody cares.
It is a corrupt country where individuals get richer than the nation, and their money has no value in the purchasing marketplaces.
Of course, any money that is not worth the value is nothing. It can't go to the external and internal markets successfully.
Between 1914 and 1960 Nigeria was good and admirable. But in 1973 there was a decimal conversion of Naira. Nigeria became a decimal nickname for Naira in the global business market.
It has gradually become a problem to manage the nation's economy till now. The issue is complex.
It has grown higher. It has gone crazy. It became very costly to control and hard to sustain anything good since then, but unknown to many.
The decimalized Nigeria into the nickname of Naira, matchmaking the running of the nation's economy has devalued the worth of cash, devalued the strength and the purchasing power.
By 1985 things were deceptively looking normal until IMF was introduced formally into the economic predicament of the nation.
The coming of the IMF took active effect in 1995 for the rescue of the nation's dwindling economy, but those of us whose businesses were shaking, as a result, saw what was coming ahead of time.
The economy rather than improve, systematically and gradually collapsed over time and since then nothing at all has improved more or less.
This is because it turned out that the nation ran into a state of total bankruptcy.
Once a nation is bankrupt and the economy goes to blazes, it implies that nothing works well with everyone, apart from the privileged rich politicians who steal away public funds.
When leaders believe in self first, believe in personal ego first, believe in fraud, believe in wealth acquisition first, believe in political positions of power and believe also in resource grab without a good conscience, it is an act of stealing public comfort.
Because they stole and stole money from public treasuries, they have stolen public comfort and Nigeria became a shadow of herself and an economic stooge to the advanced stable world.
The worst of all has been the evil concupiscence of saboteurs of the nation's economy, working ill in their conspiracy with themselves and bringing the nation to her knees before the world.
Some who helped to down-tool the economy are the ones who criticize any regime they aren't involved. But as soon as they are involved, they will conspire with others like them and loot the nation's treasury.
It is obvious that whether in reality or in pretence people may or may not know that Nigeria has been a victim of stealing, by corrupt political tricksters who destroyed the economy gradually for long.
That's how Nigeria became enslaved and tight-fixed to the apron string of the developed global economies, where competence rules over better marketplaces.
At this point, instead of Nigeria remaining a competent nation against a bad economy, the very thieves turned her into the so-called nickname of Naira and corrupted her below the worth or value in global business transactions.
Today, instead of the culprits paying the price of the loss in Naira failure, the economic collapse and the sufferings of the innocent masses everybody is involved in the economic hurt everywhere.
Now, it is badly prevailing in the global market. It made the local cash worth not the value and with the high cost of living promoting foreign cash in the marketplaces.
The economic amendment physicians of greed became heartless, seeking healing for the hurt they had done to the economy and ended up causing more harm to the people and the nation.
Added to the past physicians are also the new political set of physicians who worsened the already injured economy.
The economy has been tattered, roped, tethered, stagnated and strangulated into a sorry state of shame and slavery, causing further harm than good to people.
Good physicians don't hurt to heal injuries but remove hurt for healing to comfort the patients or victims of the hurt or harm.
A situation where people are hurt before trying to heal them of the injuries that were inflicted, incurred or suffered is a method that can cause more injuries.
I think by now we should have been able to learn our lessons in Nigeria from the level of the bitter experiences got so far.
The severity and gravity of the prevailing ugly circumstances, surrounding the economy hurts a lot.
Thank God that we are coming closer to the realities of the predicament. The federal government has just put out remedial measures to import Agro help resource inputs with some other necessities, based on payment waivers, free duty offers and zero taxations.
At least, let us start from there and help the masses to heave a sigh of relief somehow till the hurt is defeated for healing.
To God is the glory forever.
