South East Governors have resolved to interface with President Bola Tinubu to secure the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
Monday Uzor, who is the Chief Press Secretary to Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru made this known yesterday in a press release.
According to Uzor, this was part of their resolutions made by the governors after their closed door meeting at Government House, Enugu on Tuesday.
The Chairman of the Forum, Senator Hope Uzodinma said he and his members deliberated on the reviewed reports of the South East security and economic summit held recently at owerri and resolved to implement aspects pataining to security and economic integration of the region.
He said the members of the Forum would visit President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to discuss pressing issues concerning the South East region of the country.
The Forum commiserated with the people of the region over the death of the Former Governor of old Abia State Dr. Ogbonaya Onu and thereafter constituted a nine member burial Committee headed by Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim while Rt Hon. Rotimi Amechi is to serve as secretary.
The meeting was attended by all the Governors in the zone including Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State.
