The permanent Secretary Ministry of transport and special project Dr. Simon Idenyi has officially assumed office and applauded the State Governor chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for his giant efforts in revatilizing transportation system in the State.
Speaking during the official assumption of office at the Ministry Ochoudo Centenary city Abakaliki, the Parmanent Secretary who was full of gratitude to God for the wonderful opportunity given to him, appreciated Governor Nwifuru for finding him worthy to serve in that capacity and pledged to justify the confidence reposed on him.
He noted that he would exploit the knowledge he gained in the civil service for over thirty years towards repositioning the sector in line with the vision and mission of Governor's led adminstration to end transportation challenges among citizens of the State, adding that the ministry would ensure that Ebonyi State becomes the best in transportation system across the Country.
However, the Parmanent Secretary called for harmanious working relationship among the principal officers and indeed the entire staff to take the Ministry to the enviable height and expressed hope that the ministry would leave to its expectations.
While welcoming the new permanent Secretary, the Commissioner for transport and special project Hon. Emeka Igboke, extolled Governor Francis Nwifuru for his administrative prudence and urged the permanent Secretary to apply the administrative skills and wisdom he has gained in his service years to ensure full realization of the Governor's peoples charter of needs mantra.
The Commissioner who observed that Governor Nwifuru has shown enormous commitment to bettering the lots of civil servants, urged workers in the State to give all the necessary support to the Governor to take Ebonyi State to the desired destinations.
