On this auspicious occasion of Ebonyi at 28 years of its creation, and Nigeria at 68 years of emancipation from colonialism, it is worthwhile to blow trumpets and sing praises to God Almighty in the spirit of celebrations.
We in Ebonyi have reasons to celebrate as within the past three decades, the state has witnessed tremendous transformation both in human and infrastructure.
On behalf of my family, I therefore heartily felicitate with the most impactful and pragmatic Governor in Nigeria, His Excellency ,Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru GGCEHF, the builder of human beings and infrastructures of our time.
Your Excellency, we are most grateful for your leadership ingenuity, policies and programmes as you encapsulated in your campaign manifesto, anchored on the People's Charter of Needs, which has brought unprecedented human and infrastructure development to Ebonyi State.
Sir, you came on board as the fourth Executive Governor of Ebonyi and have drastically reduced bitter political activities in our dear state, as elders, youths, and women cutting across academic, business, political and religious classes, among others, now are united and rejoicing because of your excellent leadership style. It is because you embark on an open-door policies and all-inclusive leadership.
We commend you highly for having, in less than two years in office, cleared the backlogs of gratuities of retirees from 1996 to 2023 and increased the salaries of lecturers and non-academic staff in Ebonyi State tertiary institutions.
Thank you, your Excellency, for having also employed over 1,700 Ebonyians into the state civil service, increased the monthly allowances of Ebonyi State civil servants and provided free transit means to them on the working days in the state.
We also rejoice with the First Lady of Ebonyi State, Chief Mrs Mary-Maudline Uzoamka Nwifuru, (Nneoha) for having been complementing the leadership efforts of her husband, our Governor, through her Pet Project, Foundation, BERWO, providing succour to Ebonyians, especially the women, children, and vulnerable people.
Your Excellencies, we remain proud of you and pray that God will always give you abundant grace, strength, more wisdom, sound health and protection in pilouting the affairs of the State.
