As part of effort to implement her "People's Charter of Needs' Agenda, the state government has intensified actions torward purchasing brand new/ high quality Aircrafts for the Chuba Okadigbo International Airport, Onueke.
The State Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Chief Elechi Elechi made the disclosure to newsmen after the Ministry's management meeting held in his office at Ochudo Centenary City, Abakaliki on Monday.
Chief Elechi stated that the government would constitute an Inspection Team to ensure that high quality Aircrafts are bought for the airport to commence full operations.
Chief Elechi added that the Ministry would establish an event center at Ebonyi Shopping Mall as a measure to generate revenue for the state government.
He directed the management team of the ministry to upgrade the ministry's Website so that the world could view the investment potentials of the state.
Commissioner Elechi appreciated the Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for appointing Mrs. Anthonia Igwe as a Permanent Secretary in Ebonyi State Civil Service and for her posting to serve in the ministry.
He described the permanent secretary as a technocrat, and urged her to bring her wealth of experience to bear in the day to day running of the ministry to drive development in the sector.
In a remark, the Permanent Secretary called on all the staff of the ministry to close ranks to ensure that the 2025 budget of the ministry is fully implemented.
She called on all the critical stakeholders in the investment sector to work in synergy to make Ebonyi State a safe haven for investment in Nigeria.
