A two-term lawmaker representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Comrade Chinedu Ogah, on Tuesday, celebrated his biological father, Chief Denis Igwe Oga,h, at his birthday anniversary.
The occasion, held at the Lawmaker's Item Amegu Ikwo country home in the Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi State, attracted many dignitaries, relatives, friends and well-wishers.
In his remarks, the State Governor, Chief Francis Nwifuru, represented by his Deputy Governor, Princess Patricia Obila, described the celebration as a testament to Chief Dennis Ogah’s legacy, noting that he was not only the brain winner of his family but as a community builder.
“Our father is a great man. We congratulate you for your contributions to human development. You didn’t just raise your children; we have heard the contributions you have made in terms of human development.
"By the grace of God, we will come next year to celebrate you again. From today we will continue to celebrate you,” the governor stated.
Speaking on behalf of his siblings, Ogah expressed profound gratitude to the family of Barr. Okeagu Ogada for their unwavering support during his father’s challenging times.
He thanked everyone who came to honour the celebration and appreciated God for allowing him to celebrate his father during his life.
The Chairman of the occasion, Chief Livinus Ilang, earlier hailed the life and impacts of Chief Denis Ogah and expressed gratitude to God for allowing him and other people to celebrate the milestone with a man whom he said had touched many lives in the area.
Recalled that the event was attended by notable personalities, including the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abass, represented by Idu Igariwey, member representing Afikpo North/South Federal Constituency, among others.
