Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has expressed confidence on the capacity of two illustrious sons of the State—Chief Austin Umahi and Chief Mathew Uguru to deliver their assigned mandate as Chairmen of Medical Boards.
The two sons of the State were appointed by Mr President to lead coordinated efforts in ending medical tourism in the country given their vast experiences in public service.
While Chief Austin Chukwu Umahi is the Chairman, Governing Board, Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano, Chief Mathew Uguru is the Chairman, Governing Board, Federal Medical Centre Umuahia, Abia State.
"I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Chief Austin Umahi and Chief Mathew Uguru on your well-deserved appointments as the Chairmen of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano, and Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia, respectively" Governor Nwifuru said.
He attributed their appointments to their dedication, exceptional leadership and commitments to the ideals of public service.
"Your appointments are testaments to your dedication, exceptional leadership, and commitment to the ideals of public service".
The Governor expresses confidence in their capacity to deliver inline with their mandates:
"I have no doubt that your wealth of experience and visionary approach will bring transformative progress to these esteemed institutions, ensuring better healthcare delivery for our people, and impactful achievements and lasting contributions to the healthcare sector in Nigeria".
The Governor extolled President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for finding the two Ebonyi Sons worthy to serve the Nation
