On Saturday, April 3, 2025, Hon. Sydney Okechukwu Edeh, the Chairman of the Nkanu East Local Government Area, ALGON Chairman for Enugu State Chapter, and Deputy National Publicity Secretary of AGON, honouredored with the chieftaincy title of "AKỌBỤNDỤ" by HRM Barr. Julius Nnaji, the Ode zuruigbo III of Nike Kingdom. This significant event took place during a grand celebration that marked the 25th anniversary of Igwe Nnaji's reign, drawing guests from both within and outside Enugu .
While bestowing the title, Igwe Nnaji emphasized that honouronor was not only a recognition of Hon. Edeh's tireless efforts in enhancing the prospects of Nkanu East but also a testament to his philanthropic spirit, exemplary leadership, and dedication to the development of the LGA and Enugu.
In his response, an elated Hon. Edeh expressed profound gratitude to God Almighty and the Nike Council of Traditional Rulers for this esteemed recognition.
"I dedicate this chieftaincy title to my mentor and boss, His Excellency, Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the Executive Governor of Enugu State, as well as to the wonderful people of Nkanu East Local Government Area for providing me the platform to serve them, humanity, and God," he stated.
