Speaking on the second day of the tournament, the international Scouter who was in Ebonyi to harvest young football talents, both male and female, noted that he was impressed with the performances of the players in the tournament. He also gifted cash, boots and jerseys to outstanding young players who impressed him on the second day of the soccer showpiece.
In his response, Dr Onyechi Nwankwo thanked Mr Sloboda for the honour and for expressing satisfaction with the ongoing scouting games. He said the recognition would further boost his morals in hunting for more talents to develop and showcase to the world.
Dr Nwankwo also commended the excellent performance of the teams from within and outside Ebonyi State, expressing hope that at the end of the programme, many of the players would be selected to go for further training.
He noted that further training for the players would help them compete favourably with their counterparts in other parts of the world.
Eight football teams, male and female played on the second day of the scouting event which would end on Saturday 3rd May, 2025.
