A group, Effium Indigenes of Ezza-Ezekuna Extraction in Ebonyi State, has applauded the determination of Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State to restore peace in Effium Community of Ohaukwu LGA.
Effium community has been ravaged by a bloody communal war for close to five years.
In a press statement signed by the National President of the group, Elder Egbe Nwankwo, the group pledged the support of Effium Indigenes of Ezza-Ezekuna Extraction for the Effium peace agenda of Ebonyi State Government, especially the creation of more autonomous communities for the two sections of Effium community.
The group also applauded geographical demarcation of polling units and electoral wards as required by law in the area.
The group further urged Governor Nwifuru to remain focused on the implementation of the Ebonyi State Government's white paper on Effium peace; and to ensure the prosecution of Mr. James Agena and others over their roles in the 5-year old Effium war.
