The Nigeria Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME), Ebonyi State Chapter, has congratulated the Honourable Commissioner for Finance and Economic Development, who also serves as the Patron of the association, Professor Leonard Chukwuma Uguru on his recent elevation to the rank of Professor in Accounting.
Uguru would have a special Church thanksgiving service and reception for his professorial elevation in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital on Sunday 11th May 2025.
In a statement issued to newsmen in Abakaliki, the Chairman of NASME Ebonyi State Chapter, Comrade Joseph Erish on behalf of the entire members of the association, expressed joy and admiration over the academic achievement of the Commissioner, describing it as a well-deserved honour.
He noted that the promotion to professorship is a reflection of the Commissioner’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, professional development, and impactful research in the field of Accounting.
“We are proud to identify with our Patron, who has consistently demonstrated a strong dedication to education, training, and national development.
“His elevation is not only a personal milestone but also an inspiration to all professionals and entrepreneurs striving for excellence," the Chairman said.
He further expressed confidence that the Commissioner’s expertise and resourcefulness will continue to contribute significantly to economic policy formulation and the overall growth of the society.
The Association, according to him, prayed for more accomplishments in his career and reaffirmed its support for his initiatives in promoting entrepreneurship and sustainable development in Ebonyi State.
