In a decisive rebuttal that underscored the sharpening ideological fault lines in Ebonyi State politics, Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, renowned business magnate and 2023 Ebonyi gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has categorically dismissed speculation linking him to the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing it as “baseless and misleading.”
The speculation, which gained traction following public remarks made by Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, the Ebonyi State APC Chairman, claimed that Odii was on the verge of defecting to the ruling party.
But in an official statement titled “OFFICIAL RESPONSE TO COMMENTS BY EBONYI APC CHAIRMAN, MR. STANLEY OKORO EMEGHA,” Dr. Odii made his position unequivocally clear.
“Let me categorically state that I am not considering joining the APC, now or in the foreseeable future.”
