The Jigawa State Government has distributed over 300 units of 2012 model Toyota Corolla vehicles to school principals and directors across the state’s education sector.
This was announced by the State Governor, Umar Namadi during a formal handover ceremony held in Dutse, the state capital.
Namadi described the initiative as part of his government’s ongoing efforts to improve the quality of education and strengthen supervision in public schools in the state.
According to him, the vehicle distribution aims to ease mobility for school heads and education directors, thereby enhancing effective monitoring and administration across schools in the 27 local government areas.
Governor Namadi, who flagged off the distribution, reiterated his administration’s commitment to prioritizing education and empowering key stakeholders to deliver on the government’s education reform agenda.
He noted that the gesture was not only to reward dedication but to also provide the necessary logistics for improved performance.
The stakeholders in the education sector have lauded the move and described it as a timely intervention that would enhance service delivery and accountability in schools.
