The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State has declared that no amount of political coalition or alliance can distract or undermine the ongoing developmental strides and good governance being delivered under the administration of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.
Reacting to recent talks of a political coalition forming in the state, the APC Publicity Secretary, Ogbuatu Chidi Simbad, described such moves as inconsequential and already doomed to fail, citing the overwhelming acceptance of the APC-led government across all 13 local government areas of the state.
“Coalition or no coalition, Ebonyi remains an APC state. The people are solidly behind His Excellency, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, whose administration continues to deliver results that speak louder than political propaganda,” Simbad said in a statement issued yesterday.
He noted that the so-called coalition collapsed even before it could gain traction, attributing its failure to a lack of shared vision and ideology among its promoters.
“A coalition is a temporary coming together of parties that lack individual strength and direction. In Ebonyi, the people have found purposeful leadership in the APC and Governor Nwifuru,” he added.
The statement further emphasized that governance in the state is driven by integrity, development, and people-centered policies that have transformed communities and restored confidence in public service delivery.
Quoting former U.S. President Barack Obama, Ogbuatu said, “Effective governance is not about who holds power, but how power is used to serve the people.”
He argued that under Governor Nwifuru, Ebonyi has witnessed “unmatched progress and positive change.”
He also highlighted that key political figures across party lines have continued to identify with the APC government due to its performance and inclusiveness.
Echoing the famous words of former U.S. House Speaker Tip O’Neill that “all politics is local,” Ogbuatu insisted that APC remains the only political structure with widespread grassroots presence and acceptance in the state.
“The people of Ebonyi know who is working for them. They know Governor Nwifuru is committed to their welfare, and no distraction—no matter how loud can take away the gains of this administration,” he concluded.
