Ebonyi State Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has approved the appointment of distinguished professionals into the Governing Boards of the Ebonyi State Broadcasting Corporation (EBBC) and the Hospital Management Board.
The appointments were disclosed in a public service announcement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Dr. Monday Uzor, on Friday.
According to the statement, Mr. Donatus Owo, former Chief Press Secretary to the wife of immediate past Governor of Ebonyi State was named Chairman of the EBBC Governing Board.
Other members include Mr. Felix Ukah, Mr. Sunny B. Akpagu, Mr. Samson Nwafor (current Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ebonyi State Council), Mr. Nnamdi Akpa (immediate past Secretary of the state NUJ), Mrs. Chinwe Imo-Eze, and Engr. Emmanuel Nwuzor Oriji.
For the Ebonyi State Hospital Management Board, Mrs. Monica Ogada was appointed as Chairperson.
Other members are Mr. Elias Nwibo, Mr. Okechukwu Oko-Eze, Mr. Celestine Nwogo, and Mrs. Nnenna Nwele.
The statement further announced that the swearing-in ceremony for the newly appointed board members will hold on Monday, July 21, 2025, at the Conference Room, Office of the Governor, Ochoudo Centenary City, Abakaliki.
Governor Nwifuru’s latest appointments underscore his administration’s commitment to deepening reforms and enhancing service delivery in the state’s media and healthcare sectors.
