Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has inaugurated the Governing Boards of four critical state institutions with a firm charge to prioritize service delivery and address pressing sectoral challenges.
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony held Monday in Abakaliki, Governor Nwifuru congratulated the appointees and urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by working for the best interest of Ebonyi people.
The inaugurated boards included the Ebonyi State Broadcasting Corporation (EBBC) Governing Board, chaired by Comrade Donatus Owo — former Chief Press Secretary to the immediate past First Lady, Chief Mrs. Rachel Umahi, the Hospital Management Board, the Rural Access Road Authority, and the Roads Funds Board and Administration.
“We anticipate that they will take decisive actions to address the concerns in their respective areas of responsibility, ultimately serving the best interests of the people of Ebonyi State,” the Governor said.
The Governor’s charge reflects his administration’s commitment to institutional efficiency and people-centered governance.
The new board members are expected to hit the ground running, focusing on transparency, professionalism, and results.
Dignitaries, media practitioners, and stakeholders from across the state witnessed the event, which marked another major step in Governor Nwifuru’s push for sustainable development and functional public service delivery.
