The Labour Party in Anambra State has endorsed the newly formed political coalition spearheaded by the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing it as a bold and strategic step toward deepening democracy and advancing people-centred governance.
In a statement issued Thursday in Awka, the party’s State Caretaker Committee Chairman, Peter Okoye, confirmed the endorsement, adding that the alliance has the full support of Labour Party’s national leader, Mr. Peter Obi.
“This strategic collaboration is in line with the broader goals and aspirations of the Labour Party to deepen democracy, promote good governance, and deliver people-oriented leadership,” the statement read.
The party described Peter Obi’s participation in the coalition as a clear signal of its seriousness and potential, calling on all Labour Party members across Anambra to embrace the initiative.
“We therefore urge all members, supporters, and stakeholders of the Labour Party in Anambra State to key into this important development,” Okoye stated.
The Labour Party said the coalition presents a unique opportunity to build a formidable political force that truly reflects the will of the Nigerian people, particularly the industrious citizens of Anambra State.
The statement concluded by assuring party faithful that further details and guidelines would be shared in the coming days, while expressing appreciation for their continued loyalty and commitment to the party’s ideals.
