The Nigeria Police Force has unraveled the chilling murder case of Mr. Chen Wang, a Chinese national and staff of WH Great Resource Ltd., who was brutally stabbed to death in his office in Ogere, Ogun State, on January 12, 2025.
In a press release signed by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Police disclosed that after receiving a distress call about Mr. Wang's lifeless body, a swift, intelligence-led investigation was launched. Preliminary findings revealed the victim sustained fatal chest stab wounds, and the company’s security system had been deliberately tampered with on the day of the incident.
Following detailed investigations coordinated by the Nigeria Police Force Technical Intelligence Unit (TIU) and the Ogun State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), two suspects were identified: Yunusa Abdullahi, 25, of Borno State, and Peace Keno Danlami, 20, of Taraba State. The pair, believed to be romantically involved and factory workers at the same company, allegedly committed the murder during overtime hours, exploiting the reduced workforce to execute the act, steal valuables from the deceased’s home, and flee the state.
After weeks of surveillance, biometric analysis, and digital forensic tracking, the suspects were apprehended on July 14 in Jos, Plateau State, while living under false identities.
Commending the professionalism of all officers involved, Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, emphasized the Force’s zero tolerance for criminality and its commitment to protecting all residents and foreign nationals in Nigeria.
The suspects remain in custody and will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
