I humbly seek the reader’s permission to speak from the depths of my spirit. Let it be known: no one has sent me, influenced me, or bought me over. What I write comes purely from personal conviction, driven by truth and observation.
Is it not time for the four governors who have led Ebonyi State—from the inception of our democracy to this present moment—to pause and ask themselves a simple but profound question: When will Austin Udude be honoured for his outstanding and unwavering service?
For decades, Austin Udude has served this state with dignity, excellence, and humility. In a public service landscape often marred by controversies, inefficiencies, and self-interest, his record shines as a model of integrity and diligence. His conduct in office has been consistently marked by peace, perfection, and professionalism—traits that should not go unnoticed or unrewarded.
It is said that perfection is elusive. Yet, in Austin Udude, we have seen a man who, though human, has approached his duties with near-divine commitment. No administration—past or present—can deny the central role he has played in ensuring smooth state affairs. In fact, his career mirrors the biblical principles of diligence and uprightness.
As Psalm 37:37 says: "Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace."
And in Matthew 5:48, Jesus exhorted: "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."
These scriptures remind us that perfection—especially in service—is both godly and noble. Austin Udude has exemplified that. By every moral, professional, and spiritual standard, he is due for recognition.
For those who may argue he has "overstayed," I submit this: longevity in public service, when accompanied by integrity and effectiveness, is not a burden—it is a blessing. His long tenure is not a flaw but a testament to his unmatched competence.
In a world where many seek power without purpose and offices are often occupied without honour, Austin Udude has shown what it means to serve with excellence and peace. That is why I patiently await the day when past and current leaders of Ebonyi State will rise above politics and protocols to honour this exceptional man—a man who has faithfully served without blemish.
Austin Udude deserves to be celebrated. He is the best State Affairs man of the century by every standard. His honour is long overdue.
To God alone be the glory.
