A non-governmental organization, Francis Frontiers, Ohaukwu Local Government Area Chapter in Ebonyi State, has called on eligible voters to take advantage of the ongoing voters registration exercise to register in order to participate in the 2027 general elections.
The Coordinator of the group, Hon. Eze Okechukwu, who made the call during stakeholders consultation and engagement meeting in Ohaukwu Local Government Area, said that the only way to promote and encourage good governance, was through massive voters registration.
Hear him, "We actually brought people together to tell them about our forthcoming unveiling. The response was okay and the turn out was awesome.
"The patron of the support group, Barrister Tochukwu Ogalegu group has been so supportive. The essensce is simple to give support to the governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.
"We want them to start early. You know sometimes, our people thinks that politics is a childs play, but we want our people to take this very seriously. I have told them and will continue to tell them about the importance of voters cards.
Speaking earlier, the Patron of Francis Frontiers Ohaukwu Chapter, Barrister Tochukwu Ogalegu said the meeting was to engage stakeholders and consult them on support for the All Progressive Congress (APC).
He expressed joy that the governors of southeast had joined in the mainstream government of the All Progressive Congress (APC)
He said, "This is stakeholders engagement and consultation. To mobilize massively for the governor. It is a non-governmental organization. We want to use FF to mobilize voters support.
"Go to churches, villages and communities and inform them. Voters card is as important as our health. I am Happy that government at the southeast are entering into APC. Let us be inside and mobilize for our people", he said.
