In a major boost to educational empowerment, Rt. Hon. Chinedu Ogah, Member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Reformatory Institutions, has unveiled the list of 172 successful candidates shortlisted for the 2025/2026 Scholarship Examination under his widely celebrated educational support scheme.
The programme, now an annual academic ritual, has over the years become one of the most consistent youth empowerment initiatives in Ebonyi State, providing opportunities for students to pursue their dreams without financial obstacles.
Revered for its transparency, the scheme will once again be conducted under strict supervision.
The Chairman of the Scholarship Board, Rev. Fr. Ifeanyi Ogodo, reassured parents and candidates that the process will remain merit-driven. “Due process will be followed as usual, and only those who excel in the examination will be awarded scholarships,” he said.
Ogah, while congratulating the shortlisted candidates, reaffirmed that education remains at the heart of his service to the people. “This scholarship is about investing in tomorrow by empowering our children today. We are committed to building a future where no child is left behind due to lack of access to education,” he stated.
Parents, guardians, friends, and well-wishers have been urged to spread the news widely to ensure every shortlisted candidate prepares adequately for the examination.
The full list of candidates has been published at the constituency office and is available through official communication channels.
With 172 students set to benefit this year, the scheme underscores Ogah’s enduring legacy of using education as a weapon to fight poverty and open doors of opportunity for his people.
