The Senator representing Ebonyi Central Senatorial District and Chairman, Senate Committee on Information and National Orientation, Senator Ken Eze, has empowered one of his constituents, Mrs. Chioma Nworie, with the sum of 10 million Naira.
In a statement issued by his Legislative Secretary, Godwin Nwafor, the empowerment was described by many as the highest single financial support ever extended to a constituent by a member of the National Assembly since the creation of Ebonyi State.
The gesture took place during the child dedication reception of Mrs. Nworie at Ikwuator Idembia in Ezza South Local Government Area of Ebonyi State recently.
Senator Eze, who was accompanied by his wife, Justice Chinyere Ken Eze, said the gesture was in recognition of Mrs. Nworie’s loyalty, humility, hard work, and unwavering commitment to the ideals of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Agunachemba political ideology.
Earlier at the dedication service held at St. Luke Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Ikwuator Idembia Parish, the Senator described children as special treasures from God and the joy of every family.
He donated 1 million Naira to the church and announced the immediate installation of 20 solar-powered streetlights within the church premises and its environs.
The officiating priests and congregation, visibly elated, applauded Senator Eze for his exemplary leadership and philanthropy, praying for God’s continued blessings upon him for the greater benefit of humanity.
The beneficiary, Mrs. Chioma Nworie, and her husband, Mr. Nworie Chinedu Aliobu, expressed deep gratitude to the Senator and his wife, describing him as a transformational leader and a source of blessing to many families, particularly theirs.
They pledged their continued loyalty to the APC and unflinching support for the Distinguished Senator.
The child dedication ceremony was graced by dignitaries, political leaders, and government functionaries across the state.
