The Honourable Commissioner for Works in Ebonyi State, Engr. Stanley Lebechi Mbam, has extended warm felicitations to Nigerians as the country marks its 65th Independence Anniversary and to Ebonyians as the state celebrates 29 years of creation.
In a goodwill message titled “A Salute to a Great Nation and a Proud State”, Engr. Mbam lauded Nigeria’s resilience since independence in 1960, describing the nation’s survival through trials and triumphs as a testimony of courage, vision, and creativity that define the Nigerian people.
He also highlighted Ebonyi’s remarkable progress since its creation in 1996, citing strides in education, infrastructure, agriculture, healthcare, and human capital development.
The Works Commissioner specially commended the purposeful leadership of the Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, and his wife, Chief Mrs. Mary-Maudline Uzoamaka Nwifuru, for policies that are “transforming lives, fostering unity, inclusiveness, and sustainable development.”
“As we celebrate these milestones, let us renew our commitment to peace, patriotism, and service,” he urged. “May Nigeria continue to stand tall as a beacon of hope among nations, and may Ebonyi State rise ever higher in peace, prosperity, and pride.”
Engr. Mbam congratulated all Nigerians, Ebonyians, and especially Governor Nwifuru on the historic dual anniversary, pledging continued dedication to the growth of the state.
