The Chief Executive Officer of Pomafriq Nigeria Limited, Pharmacist Chidera Chima Ihebinandu, has reaffirmed her company’s commitment to empowering young Nigerians through practical skill acquisition programs designed to promote self-reliance and meaningful livelihoods.
Speaking during the official flag-off ceremony of a five-day training workshop for fifty students in Abakaliki on Thursday, Pharmacist Ihebinandu said the initiative aims to equip participants with hands-on knowledge in the production of quality soaps and detergents.
The program, organized in partnership with the Regina Pacis Foundation, also seeks to discourage the circulation of substandard household products in the market.
Ihebinandu emphasized that every individual has the potential to learn and become self-sufficient, noting that the current economic realities in the country make it necessary for citizens—regardless of academic background—to develop practical, income-generating skills.
She added that the training is part of Pomafriq Nigeria Limited’s broader mission to build a society where people can earn a decent living through sustainable skill-based enterprises.
Some of the beneficiaries, including Ikpa Success from Egwudinagu Ishieke and Nwangwu Confidence, expressed gratitude to the organizers, describing the program as timely and impactful. They pledged to use the knowledge gained to make positive contributions to their communities.
Our correspondent reports that the five-day training continues through the week, with participants expected to showcase their newly acquired skills at the closing ceremony.
