Rt. Hon. (Comrade) Chinedu Ogah, OON, Member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Reformatory Institutions and Prof Daniel Nwachukwu, new AEFUNAI vice-Chancellor.
The Member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Reformatory Institutions, Rt. Hon. (Comrade) Chinedu Ogah, OON, has congratulated Prof. Daniel Nwachukwu on his appointment as Vice-Chancellor of Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (AE-FUNAI), Ebonyi State.
In a congratulatory message issued on behalf of his constituents, family, and associates, Ogah described the appointment as well-deserved, citing Prof. Nwachukwu’s impressive record of service, scholarship, and administrative competence as clear qualifications for the position.
According to the lawmaker, Prof. Nwachukwu’s notable contributions to national development particularly his sterling performance as Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus (UNEC)—underscore his readiness to lead AE-FUNAI at this critical stage of its development.
Ogah also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa; the Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru; and the university’s Governing Council for what he described as a painstaking and transparent selection process that resulted in Prof. Nwachukwu’s emergence as the fourth Vice-Chancellor of the institution.
He expressed confidence that the new Vice-Chancellor would leverage his vast experience, expansive professional network, and proven technocratic expertise to drive academic excellence, institutional growth, and administrative innovation at the university.
The federal lawmaker further assured Prof. Nwachukwu and the university management of his readiness to collaborate closely with them to promote sustainable development and enhance AE-FUNAI’s standing as a leading citadel of learning.
