The Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has appointed a seasoned female broadcaster, Mrs. Ebere Ania, popularly known as Adaolado, as Special Assistant on Media.
The appointment is part of a fresh round of appointments approved by the governor to strengthen key institutions of the state government.
Mrs. Ania is a respected media professional and a staff member of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Unity FM, Abakaliki, where she distinguished herself through years of dedicated service, professionalism, and in-depth broadcast journalism.
Her appointment is widely seen as a strategic move to enhance the government’s media engagement and public communication.
The development was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Dr. Monday Uzor.
According to the statement, other appointments approved by the governor included Mrs. Nnenna Steve Egbo as Secretary of the Rural Electrification Board, as well as Mrs. Lucy Ofefe and Hon. Vincent Awoke as Members of the Ebonyi State Civil Service Commission.
The statement further noted that all newly appointed officials will be sworn in on Monday, January 26, 2026, at 12:00 noon, at the Conference Room, Office of the Governor, Ochoudo Centenary City, Abakaliki.
Governor Nwifuru congratulated the appointees and charged them to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of their duties, in line with his administration’s commitment to effective governance and service delivery in Ebonyi State.
