The Police authorities said the operation later led to the arrest of seven additional suspects believed to be connected with the criminal network. A locally made pistol was also recovered from the suspects.
Nigerian Pilot reports the remains of the late traditional ruler were subsequently recovered and deposited at a morgue for autopsy.
