In a condolence message issued on behalf of his family and the people of Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, Ogah described the incident as barbaric and senseless, noting that the monarch was tragically assassinated by his abductors on March 2, 2026, after being kidnapped at Nwakpu Alike in Ikwo LGA.

Ogah strongly condemned the act, stating that such a heinous crime is inhumane and a direct attack on the cultural values and peaceful traditions of the people.
He urged the sons and daughters of Ikwo Noyo Clan and members of the community to refrain from acts of violence and unlawful killings, stressing that such behavior is unacceptable and uncivilized.
The federal lawmaker called on relevant stakeholders to adopt every necessary and lawful strategy, including traditional mechanisms, to uncover the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
Ogah assured the people of Ikwo that he would follow the matter diligently to ensure that those responsible for the killing of the monarch are brought to justice.
He also expressed deep sympathy to the people of Ikwo Noyo, the Ndufu Alike community, and particularly to Barr. (Chief) Eric Kelechi Igwe, PhD, former Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State and son of the deceased monarch, over the painful loss.
The lawmaker prayed for the repose of the soul of the late monarch and asked God to grant the bereaved family and the entire community the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
