The Member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, Chinedu Ogah, has commended the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for what he described as a pragmatic and unifying consensus strategy within the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Ogah, who also chairs the House Committee on Reformatory Institutions, praised the governor’s leadership style, noting that the adoption of a consensus arrangement has significantly reduced internal tensions and strengthened party cohesion across Ebonyi State.
He specifically lauded Governor Nwifuru for endorsing him as the sole consensus candidate for the forthcoming APC primaries in his constituency, describing the move as a demonstration of confidence in his legislative performance and grassroots engagement.
According to the lawmaker, the consensus model represents a strategic mechanism for minimizing intra-party conflicts and fostering political stability, adding that it positions the APC for a stronger outing in the 2027 polls.
Ogah said the broad acceptance of the arrangement by party stakeholders reflects the inclusiveness and transparency of the process, as well as the governor’s commitment to sustaining unity within party ranks.
He called on members of the APC in Ebonyi State to close ranks, intensify grassroots mobilisation, and work collectively toward securing victory in the forthcoming elections
The federal lawmaker also commended the State Chairman of the party, Stanley Okoro Emegha, for his role in strengthening party structures and ensuring effective coordination among stakeholders.
Ogah expressed confidence that the combined efforts of party leaders would further consolidate the gains of the current administration and advance the state’s development agenda.
