The Nigeria Forest Security Service (NFSS), Ebonyi State Command, has felicitated with the people of Ebonyi State and the state government on the occasion of Easter 2026, while reaffirming its commitment to security and environmental protection.
In a goodwill message signed by Commander Larry Igwe, the NFSS urged residents to embrace peace, unity, and moral integrity during the festive season and beyond. “As we celebrate, let us consciously reject all forms of social vices, including violence, criminality, dishonesty, and actions that threaten our collective well-being,” Igwe stated.
The NFSS commended the peaceful disposition of the people of Ebonyi State and praised the leadership of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for his unwavering commitment to security, unity, and development.
The service emphasized its resolve to protect forests, safeguard lives and property, combat illegal activities in forest reserves, and collaborate with relevant agencies to ensure public safety.
Commander Igwe also highlighted the spiritual significance of Easter, calling on Christians to reflect the virtues of selflessness, humility, forgiveness, and love in their daily lives.
“Let this season inspire us to embrace peace, promote unity, and contribute meaningfully to the progress of our dear state,” he said.
The NFSS assured the government and the people of Ebonyi State of its continued dedication to duty and prayed for renewed hope, divine blessings, and abundant grace for every family in the state and across Nigeria.
