The Honourable Minister of Works, Senator Engr. David Umahi, has called on Nigerians to embrace unity, faith, and compassion as Christians across the country celebrate Easter.
In his Easter message, the Minister extended warm greetings to the Christian faithful and their families, describing the season as a time for deep reflection on sacrifice, renewal, and the triumph of light over darkness.
Umahi noted that the resurrection of Jesus Christ symbolizes the enduring power of hope and the promise of new beginnings, even in the face of adversity.
He urged Nigerians to draw strength from the spiritual significance of Easter by promoting harmony and understanding in their communities.
“At this point in our national journey, these values matter deeply. Let us be guided by the message of Easter by choosing unity over division, compassion over indifference, and faith over fear,” he said.
The Minister emphasized the need for citizens to remain steadfast and supportive of one another while working collectively toward building a peaceful and prosperous nation.
Reaffirming his commitment to national development, Umahi stated that the Ministry of Works, with the support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, remains focused on delivering critical infrastructure that will connect communities, boost economic growth, and improve the quality of life for Nigerians.
He expressed optimism about the country’s future, noting that shared sacrifice and cooperation would pave the way for lasting progress.
Umahi prayed that the joy of the resurrection would fill the hearts of Nigerians with peace, renew their strength, and guide the nation toward a brighter and more united future.
He wished all Christians a joyful and fulfilling Easter celebration.
