The Anuagata Development Centre Coordinator, John Osi has described the re-election bid of Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, as “sacrosanct,” insisting that his continuation in office is justified by what he termed visible and measurable developmental strides across critical sectors of governance.
The Coordinator made the assertion in Abakaliki during a solidarity walk organised by the Forum of Development Centre Coordinators, where stakeholders from across the state endorsed the governor’s second-term ambition ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking in his capacity as a grassroots mobiliser, the Anuagata DC Coordinator said Governor Nwifuru had, within less than three years in office, demonstrated uncommon commitment to service delivery, particularly in education, healthcare delivery, and rural infrastructure development.
He argued that the administration’s policy direction under the “People’s Charter of Needs” had redefined governance in Ebonyi State, ensuring that development priorities were increasingly aligned with the felt needs of communities at the grassroots.
According to him, the governor’s interventions in the education sector had improved access and strengthened learning outcomes, while the health sector had witnessed enhanced service delivery through targeted reforms and infrastructural upgrades in primary healthcare facilities.
He further noted that rural development projects executed across communities had significantly improved connectivity, eased transportation challenges, and stimulated socio-economic activities in previously underserved areas.
The Coordinator maintained that the cumulative impact of these interventions had consolidated public trust in the administration, describing the governor’s performance as “people-centred, inclusive, and development-driven.”
He added that, in view of these achievements, the re-election of Governor Nwifuru had become a collective responsibility for stakeholders who have witnessed governance outcomes at the local level.
“The re-election of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru is sacrosanct given his performance in office. In less than three years, he has transformed key sectors including education, health, and rural development in a manner that is both visible and impactful,” he stated.
He further assured that the Development Centre Coordinators across the state remain firmly committed to mobilising grassroots support to ensure what he described as a “resounding electoral victory” for the governor in the 2027 polls.
