The Deputy National Secretary of the Labour Party, Comrade Chief Eze Oko Splendour, has said the leadership of Senator Nenadi Usman is repositioning the party for electoral victory ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Eze Oko stated this on Tuesday at the Labour Party National Headquarters in Utako, Abuja, during the submission of expression of interest and nomination forms by aspirants from Taraba State seeking to contest various elective positions under the party’s platform.
The party secretariat witnessed a large turnout of supporters and political stakeholders from Taraba State who accompanied the aspirants to the national headquarters in a show of solidarity and confidence in the party’s leadership.
The aspirants include Hon. Amb. Dr. Bala Samuel Sanfo for the Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives; Hon. Reuben Wuniji Filibus for Wukari I State Constituency; Hon. Rejoice Langaya for Wukari II State Constituency; Hon. Abdulrazaq Haruna Magaji for Ibi State Constituency; and Hon. Wuka A. Dwafa for Donga State Constituency in the Taraba State House of Assembly.
Speaking during the exercise, Eze Oko said the Labour Party had regained its strength and national appeal under the current leadership, noting that the increasing number of aspirants and supporters joining the party ahead of the 2027 elections reflected growing public confidence in its vision and direction.
He described the Labour Party as “the people’s party,” urging interested aspirants across the country to obtain their expression of interest and nomination forms within the stipulated period.
According to him, the renewed commitment of party members and stakeholders was an indication that the Labour Party remained determined to provide credible leadership and a viable political alternative for Nigerians.
“The leadership of Distinguished Senator Nenadi Usman has restored the lost glory of the Labour Party and repositioned it for victory in 2027,” he stated.
The deputy national secretary further encouraged party faithful to sustain grassroots mobilisation and strengthen internal unity as preparations intensify for the forthcoming general elections.
Supporters at the event chanted the party’s popular slogan, “Papa, Mama, Pikin,” while expressing optimism over the party’s chances in the 2027 polls.
