The Wife of the Ebonyi State Governor, Chief Mrs. Uzoamaka Mary-Maudline Nwifuru, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of one of her security aides, late Inspector Uguru David Nwabueze of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), who passed away after a brief illness a few months ago.
Mrs. Nwifuru conveyed her condolences during the burial ceremony of the late officer held at Ndiebor-Ishiagu Sharon in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
The Governor's wife described the death of Inspector Uguru as a huge loss, not only to his immediate family but also to his community, the NSCDC, and Ebonyi State at large. She urged the bereaved family to bear the painful and irreplaceable loss with courage and faith in God.
According to her, "Today is a sad day for all of us because one of us is no longer with us.
Inspector Uguru was more than a security aide; he was like a son, a father, and a family member. He worked with me from the time I was the Speaker's wife until now, and he served with dedication and loyalty."
She added, "In my team, we work as one family, but his commitment was exceptional. He was dedicated to duty and never disappointed me even once."
Mrs. Nwifuru advised the deceased's wife, children, and other family members not to mourn without hope but to trust in God, who alone can comfort them and fill the vacuum created by his death.
She also extended her condolences to the NSCDC and members of the deceased's community, encouraging them to remain steadfast in faith despite the painful loss.
"As we mourn, let us remember that God gives and God takes away. We must continue to trust in His wisdom and divine will," she said.
The First Lady further urged the bereaved family to take solace in the fact that Inspector Uguru David Nwabueze lived a fulfilled life and left behind a legacy of dedication and service. She prayed God Almighty to grant his soul eternal rest.
