The President of the Women of Grace Foundation Nigeria (WGFN), Princess Modester Amarachi Nwifuru, has reaffirmed the foundation's commitment to supporting the development agenda of Ebonyi State Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, while pledging to mobilise women across the grassroots in support of programmes aimed at improving the welfare of the people.
Princess Nwifuru made the pledge during a courtesy visit by the leadership of the foundation to the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, at the party secretariat in Abakaliki.
She described the Women of Grace Foundation as a registered non-governmental organisation dedicated to restoring hope and improving the living conditions of vulnerable members of society through humanitarian interventions, women empowerment and community development initiatives.
According to her, the foundation is duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and has continued to champion programmes that provide support for widows, orphans, the elderly, the homeless and other less-privileged persons across the state.
"The Women of Grace Foundation was established to touch lives, restore hope and create opportunities for women and vulnerable groups. Our mission is to empower women through life-changing programmes, skills acquisition, economic support and initiatives that inspire confidence, self-reliance and sustainable development," she said.
Princess Nwifuru noted that the foundation had already constituted executive structures in all the 13 local government areas of Ebonyi State to ensure its programmes reach every community, irrespective of location.
"We are building a network that will ensure every woman, no matter how remote her community is, has a voice, a platform and access to opportunities that can transform her life. We believe that sustainable development begins from the grassroots," she added.
She commended Governor Francis Nwifuru for what she described as his people-oriented leadership, infrastructural development and commitment to women empowerment, youth development and social welfare, maintaining that the foundation would continue to complement government efforts through humanitarian services and grassroots mobilisation.
Princess Nwifuru also expressed the foundation's support for the governor's continuity in office, saying his administration had laid a solid foundation for sustainable growth and inclusive development in Ebonyi State.
Speaking on behalf of members, stakeholders of the foundation, including Mrs. Ogayi Elizabeth and Mrs. Ofoke Christiana, lauded the organisation's humanitarian vision and pledged to intensify mobilisation of women across the grassroots.
They said the foundation had become a platform for promoting unity, self-development and economic empowerment among women, urging residents to support initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods across communities.
Receiving the delegation, the Ebonyi APC Chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, commended the leadership of the Women of Grace Foundation for its humanitarian vision and commitment to community development.
Represented at the event, Emegha described the foundation as a worthy partner in the state's development efforts, urging members to remain united and continue encouraging one another through acts of compassion, mutual support and grassroots engagement.
He said Governor Nwifuru's administration remained committed to inclusive governance and programmes that directly impact the lives of ordinary citizens, stressing that development could only be sustained through collective responsibility.
"The governor's achievements are products of God's grace and purposeful leadership. We encourage organisations like the Women of Grace Foundation to continue complementing government efforts by reaching out to people at the grassroots and promoting unity among our people," Emegha said.
He further urged members of the foundation to remain steadfast in their humanitarian mission, assuring them of the APC-led administration's readiness to collaborate with organisations that promote peace, empowerment and sustainable development across Ebonyi State.
The visit attracted executive members of the Women of Grace Foundation from the 13 local government areas of the state, party officials and other stakeholders.
