The Executive chairman of Abakaliki Local Government Area Chief Chidiebere Onyemaechi Alo has charged members of Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru for second tenure (FON-SET) Abakaliki LGA chapter to show strong and unflinching support to the re-election agenda of Ebonyi State Governor Chief Francis Nwifuru come 2027 general elections, insisting that the Governor has performed exceedingly well in sectors especially in infrastructure, education and health hence deserved to be re-elected for continuity and consolidation of his good works in the State.
He gave the charge while addressing FON-SET leadership who paid him a familiarization visit at the Council Headquarters Nkaliki.
The council boss also charged the FON-SET members to massively support Senator Onyekachi Nwebonyi and Chief Emmanuel Uguru for second tenure as the two lawmakers have shown capacity in their respective positions, maintaining that genuine supporters of Governor Nwifuru must demonstrate their loyalty by supporting all APC candidates, in line with the Governor's earlier directive
Hon. Alo who noted that APC victory in the council remains paramount, called on FON-SET to vote the party's candidates from top to bottom, warning that his administration can't tolerate any move capable of undermining the victory of the party in the forthcoming general elections.
According to the chairman "We are ready to work with you people and also work with any organization that come to identify with me but I will not work those in opposition. I know we must win our elections in 2027. If you are working with opposition parties, I will not work you. he declared
He urged people of the State not to be too desperate to occupy political positions as positions comes at the appointed time of God while calling on youths to desist from allowing themselves to be used for dirty games by desperate politicians, emphasizing the needs for the youths to support the re-election agenda of Governor Nwifuru to reap more dividends of democracy in the State.
Alo maintained that his administration would remain committed to touching the lives of Abakaliki youths positively through massive appointments, empowerements and other supports aimed at improving their means of livelihood.
However, he appreciated the FON-SET team for the visit and assured to carry them along in the activities of the Council.
Earlier, the Coordinator of FON-SET in the council Mr. Felix Okorie congratulated Alo on his emergence and successful swearing-In as the Executive chairman of Abakaliki Local Government Area, describing it as a round peg in a round hole.

Okorie appealed to the council boss to include their members into the programmes and activities of his administration to enable them have sense of belongings.
The woman leader of FON-SET Mrs Grace Nwankwegu and Jonathan Agodo thanked the council chairman for given them an audience and pledged to galvanized support for APC candidates in the grassroots to enable the party record landslide victory in all positions.
A community representative, Kingsley Nwibo also appealed to the council boss to carry the group along in the scheme of things.
Meanwhile, the APC Chairman Izzi Unuphu ward 10 Mr Emeka Nkwede and chairman NYCN Abakaliki LGA chapter Hon. Tochukwu Nwalegu joined the council chairman in receiving the FON-SET members.
