The Izhi Heroes Association (IHA) of Ebonyi State on Friday paid a courtesy call to Chief Peter Ogochukwu Mbam, the Ikenga I of Malaysia at his country home Enyibuchiri Ishieke in Agalegu Community of Ebonyi Local Government Area.
The President of the Association, Hon Franklin Nwugwu led about his 50 members during the courtesy call to celebrate with Chief Mbam for his new chieftaincy title conferred on him by his business associate from Ebonyi State that base in Malaysia as Ikenga I of Malaysia.
Mbam also has won another award of excellence as the Nwachimereze I of St. Thomas Catholic Parish Nwofe by the Catholic Women Organization of the church.
Recall that Izhi Heroes Association (IHA) is made up of the progressive minded young men with great ideas and futures.
Some of them are senior civil servants, politicians, lawyers, businessmen, lecturers, media practitioners, among others.
They were keenly selected from the 26 autonomous communities of Izhi extraction in Ebonyi State.
The Asssociation aims at championing and regaining the lost glory of Izhi Nation, by ensuring an Izhi man occupies her position that rightfully belongs to him in Ebonyi State.
The celebration of Chief Peter Mbam over his chieftaincy titles have been largely admired by members of Izhi Heroes Association, who described him as a great philanthropist.
During the occasion, the former member of the Federal Board of Directors, Sokoto Rima River Basin Development Authority, and the Patron of the Association, Hon. James Nwogha Nwite, said the purpose of their courtesy call to Chief Mbam was to congratulate him for wining two chieftaincy titles and described them as feats with double and resounding volumes.
He said that the Association was highly overwhelmed on hearing that their big brother received such honours and thanked God who perfected the processes which led to his selection for the awards of excellence.
Collaborating, the President of Association, Hon Franklin Nwugwu said that the members of Izhi Heroes Association are very proud of Mbam for his numerous awards of excellence, pointing that, the feats were accomplished by him as a result of his exemplary life anchored on charity to people in the society.
Others including Ogobuchi Nwogbaga, Comrade Ignatius Nwite, Barr Alex Uguru, etc expressed joy over Mbam's rising recognition which according to them, has continued to demonstrate the extent he touches lives of people in the society positively.
They also wished him God's guidance, protection in his business, and to continue lead by example.
In a vote of thanks, Chief Peter Ogochukwu Mbam appreciated the asssociation for identifying with him.
He described the courtesy call as another big honour, looking at the calibre of people from different communities and local government areas in Izhi land who were present during the homage.
Mbam noted that he has built young ones in business, some according to him, are in different countries of the world doing their businesses.
He promised to do more by extending his good hand of fellowship to other young ones yawning for opportunities to make a meaningful life, advising them to avoid social vices and anything capable of endangering their futures.
Mbam also promised to come back bigger to celebrate with the Association for finding him worthy for such a warmed homage at his country home.
