The Chairman of Ikwo Local Government Council, Elder Stephen Orogwu has called on youths of the area to be strategic in the implementation of Federal and State Government programs.
Elder Orogwu made the call when he received in the audience the Leadership of Ikwo Noyo Youths Consultative Forum who was in his office at Onuebonyi Echara to present the Forum's Blueprint and Constitution to him.
The Council Chairman while commending members of the Youth Body for their orderliness and progress so far recorded, said his administration would continue to evolve and initiate more programs aimed at enhancing their living standards.
Elder Orogwu who lauded the leadership of the Forum for coming up with a blueprint that will guide them promised to study the documents alongside other critical stakeholders of Ikwo for necessary action.
The Council Chairman charged the Youth Body to take lead in the ongoing sensitization campaign on Continues Voter's Registration Exercise and noted that the Council was working round the clock to encourage people to participate in the exercise actively.
The National President, Ikwo Noyo Youth Consultative Forum, Mr. Friday Ilang, said that the presentation of the blueprint was geared towards enhancing their partnership with Elder Orogwu's administration to accelerate the development of the Ikwo Council Area.
The Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Forum, Mr. Bensteve Edeh, and a member of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Onward Nwekoyo said effective collaboration with the Council would afford them the needed opportunity to garner knowledge in piloting the affairs of the Forum and commended Elder Orogwu for the enthronement of lasting peace across the Council Area.
Meanwhile, December 26 has been set aside as the Forum's Congress Day through a motion moved by a member, Board of Trustees of Ikwo Noyo Youths Consultative Forum, Mr. Israel Mbam, and seconded by Mr. Ikenna Nwidagu.
