Ebonyi State Youths of Ivo Council Chapter have urged the National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Ashiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu to continue his political role as King Maker, by dropping his presidential ambition and throw his weight behind Governor David Umahi to become the successor of President Muhammad Buhari come 2023.
The group made the request after Tinubu informed President Buhari of his presidential ambition earlier in this week at the presidential villa Abuja.
The Spokesman of the group, Comrade Richard Egu, said his members have appreciated Bola Tinubu as a patriotic leader and supporter of progress in the country.
The group also appreciated the APC National Leader's courage which made him to inform President Buhari about his presidential ambition, though yet to declare publicly to the masses.
The group however, urged Tinubu to support young progressive leader like Governor Umahi to become the Nigeria's President in 2023.
"We urge you to support young progressive and capable minded for the sake of equity, fairness and one Nigeria as contained in the national anthem.
"Governor Umahi has waw the national polity through his unmatchable achievements in Ebonyi State," Egu said.
He also said, Tinubu's
support for Umahi would be a support for incomparable achievements, describing the Ebonyi State Governor as a young visionary leader and a goal-getter.
