Ebonyi indigenes in Diaspora have thrown their weight behind Dr Ezeh Emmanuel Ezeh, a frontline Governorship Aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and defined him as the most prepared gubernatorial hopeful to withstand any aspirant of other political parties in the state.
Briefing newsmen Wednesday in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi Indigenes in the Diaspora whose members cut across Delta, Rivers, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa and Edo states maintained that fielding another candidate by the PDP other than Dr Ezeh (Immaculate) would spell doom to the party in the state in the 2023 forthcoming governorship poll.
The National President of the group, Comrade Origbakpor Kingsley who spoke on behalf of his members, hinted that the party remains an alternative to deliver Ebonyians from the shackles of poverty they're facing.
He pointed out that the choice of candidate, Dr Ezeh would cause the people to support the party against the ruling party in the state, APC which has allegedly done a lot of damage to the psyche of the people.
Origbakpor said the party stands a chance of reclaiming the state if they field a credible candidate of Dr Ezeh whose antecedents as an administrator and successful entrepreneur would woo Ebonyians against any politician in the ruling party.
He commended the state party executives for the mature position they have taken since the leadership of imbroglio began and assured supporters that the PDP would come out stronger if Ezeh emerges as its guber flag bearer.
He also urged the PDP delegates not to sell their conscience in the highest bidder game as the reward would be disastrous, since, in his words, Ebonyi citizens would be at the receiving end if they sold their votes for money during the primary elections.
