The Gubernatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Ebonyi has assured of embarking on human infrastructural development if emerged the Chief Servant of the state in 2023.
He pledged this on Tuesday while addressing members of the Onwa Oferekpe Foundation from the 13 Local Government Areas of Ebonyi State, during their solidarity visit to his official residence in Abakaliki.
Nwifuru, the two-term serving Speaker of Ebonyi State House of Assembly also promised that his administration would affix unique respect to the dignity of labour while running an open door policy and inclusive governance to all Ebonyians if given the chance to serve them as their governor.
He expressed optimism that those who were sceptical about his emergence as the APC gubernatorial candidate would soon join the moving train when the party's campaign kicked off, adding that his victory on the guber polls has been revealed many years ago.
He emphasized the need for more collaborative efforts by the residents of the state to achieve what he described as a divine assignment in 2023.
He had earlier in his speech commended the Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief David Nweze Umahi and his wife, Chief Mrs Rachel Umahi for their show of love towards the Izhi people in particular and the Abakaliki bloc in general, and promised never to disappoint them and the entire Ebonyians.
He also commended the National Presidents of Onwa Oferekpe Foundation and FON Movement, Hon. Kenneth Nwovu and Comrade Chinedu Emerike respectively, other executives and the entire members of the groups for their commitment and sacrifices towards achieving his 2023 governorship ambition.
He described his supporters as the true Ebonyi patriotic citizens, noting that Onwa Oferekpe Foundation was never a political organization but has surprisingly been promoted to a level where it is currently occupying a front-line seat in the forthcoming political rallies.
The 2023 governorship hopeful emphasized the need to respect and uphold the principles of equity that have kept the people from the three senatorial zones of Ebonyi State united since the creation of the state.
He vowed to focus much on 'human capital development' if given the mandate, stressing that the incumbent Governor of Ebonyi State, Engr David Nweze Umahi has done 'wonders in the area of infrastructure,' and as such, 'the incoming government should place much emphasis on human infrastructure.'
