Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Following his competence, success and record as a former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC has received backing from Nigerians in the diaspora for his 2023 polls.
Secretary of the Interim National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC in the United Kingdom (UK), Chief Momoh Obaro, stated this at the weekend.
Momoh insisted that Tinubu remains the man to beat among the top four candidates vying for the position.
According to him, Tinubu ‘has all it takes to take Nigeria to the greatest heights.
He said: “Those of us abroad are no fools; we are educated and we know how the developed world runs their system without a hitch.
“I think the Lagos State experience is a major boost and record for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu because it is a fact that whoever runs Lagos successfully is capable of running Nigeria without any problem.
“If Asiwaju can bring his success story in Lagos to bear at the Federal level, I have a strong conviction that Nigeria and Nigerians will be good for that.”
Obaro also reiterated that leadership is not magic, ‘but measured by one’s ability to recognise the best hands and put the little human and material resources to good use.
“Many of the states in Nigeria draw their development inspirations from Lagos, and that is why Lagos has become a model for other states in the country.
“Governance is about experience; i is about competence; it is about leadership and the capacity to lead and bring out the best in people, especially in the management of human and material resources.” -Nation.
