The Saint Augustine's Seminary Ezzangbo Alumni Association SASCO in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria has held their annual National convention.
The Convention is an annual event which is targeted at uniting all who have studied in the seminary School.
The SASCO National President, Reverend Father John Obasi disclosed this while addressing Journalists during the convention at the Seminary in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of the State.
Obasi who is also the Chief Host of the event said the Alumni Association has helped a lot in uniting the members and also contributed to the development of the School in terms of infrastructure and other things.
He said the Seminary School has contributed to whom they are today and that is why the Alumni Association is giving back to the School.
"Currently, we have an ongoing storey building that will provide Library and Laboratory to the school and it has the capacity of 600 students. It doesn't mean that we don't have a library before but to advance it". Obasi added.
The Rector of St. Augustine, Reverend Father Mathias Omaka said things are going well in the school "the old boys of the Seminary have done a lot in the development of the School, which include training and retraining of the school teachers"
Dr Omaka however called on parents to bring their children and wards as the school fees are affordable.
The National Secretary of the Alumni Association, Who is also Chairman, of the 2022 Local Organising Committee, Comrade Gregory Esheya said the annual Convention of the Association is for the unity and togetherness of the members.
"With unity and togetherness, the Old boys will achieve a lot for the School". They informed.
He called on other Alumni Associations to emulate old boys of Saint Augustine's Seminary School.
On his part, the Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ebonyi State Chapter, Comrade Tonny Nwizi expressed joy over the convention and prayed for the success of all his members.
