Dr Edward Nkwegu has been described as the architect of the new Ebonyi State come 2023.

His media team under the watch of Comrade Kelvin Elom had declared that with Architect Edward Nkwegu, the choice of building on the hard work of their past leaders to create the new face of Ebonyi State more competitively would be guaranteed.
Comrade Elom called on Ebonyi people to consider building their state through Nkwegu who has a passion to liberate them from the shackles of poverty and backwardness, through industrialization.
According to the group, "we are the people of Ebonyi. We believe in our potential. We believe in hard work. We believe in the future of our dear state, and we know with Edward Nkwegu, the architect of the new Ebonyi is assured. Let's vote for a man who is interested in the liberation of our people through the party who cares about Papa, Mama and Pikin. Let's support a man whose passion to industrialize Ebonyi State is not in doubt. He is ready to revamp our economy in our dear state."
He added: "With Architect Edward Nkwegu, we have a choice of building on the hard work of our past leaders to create the Ebonyi we truly deserve. A state that works for mama, Papa, and Pikin. Choose the Labour Party for the liberation of our dear state!

The group urged Ebonyi people to show much concern in building their state with a man of good character, who has a creative potency and loves to promote peace and unity with a true fondness for building humanity.
