I am a man who has seen all kinds of thick and thin, seen all wars upon wars, hardship upon hardship, days and nights and people upon people, carried all sorts of heavy and light loads in life and still living seeing more.
I served men and women, boys and girls, infants and toddlers, crazy people and normal heads,
served in bushes, roads, and homes and thronged many grounds so much that nothing is new in my knowledge about human life.
I served in the public and private offices, in governments and industrial establishments, and in corporate services companies and later became independent.
I thank God that He never gave me the prison yard experience for committing any crime at all.
I established my firms and served on a freelance basis with business establishments, and with utmost honesty and humility.
At a time the business world in Nigeria went sore and the truth gone, efficiency gone, services became narrowed to centres of business with direct labour and all hopes for improvement died.
The Nigerian economy crashed, not much interest, and dubious men and women arose everywhere.
Pranks to forge ahead began in earnest, honest people became handicapped and saw red flags.
But still, the honest ones stuck to creativities and innovations playing into the service gallery of doggedness and working so hard, to move dreadful mountains in the right direction for survival and emancipation.
People like us eventually met the pleasure of supplying the public with needed services.
We met a lot of people and in the process got to know those who are real businesslike men.
That's when I met David Nweze Umahi, a true business element, who spares no idling time in his habit of productivity, hard work, craft, creativity and innovation.
He is an Engineer by Profession and an intelligent public figure, a prudent business expert and an economic enhancement boss.
He impressed me both in politics and inhuman policies, based on the principles of high interest in creativity and craving for innovation in business life.
God wanted him to be what he is today as a result of his resilience at work and love for people, with the public attitude of welcome to all personalities in the creative and innovative industry trying to help others.
He is into politics for reasons best known to God, he has the wherewithal to match what the world can demand from his kitty. That's why he is a boss.
So, my confession is that for the present time in politics, in business, in administration, in resources management there is a conviction I have, and that is to say he is a great Socrates on all fronts of human endeavour.
I have always recognized his worth in public life and loved his performances, which has been annoying his pessimists.
You and I should emulate him, with the same measure of love for creativity and innovation in a better mood to prosper other people, as he has been doing.
It is after he has served as a Governor, people will know the difference between politics and industry. Politics is a chance.
To God is the glory forever.
