On the media pointer to the denial of the political rights of youths, Egede Lawrence rolls out views.
If you are known to be too hefty for your country it means you are above board in your own home.
If you are humble and honest with good examples, it means you are not too hefty for your country, nor above board in your own home and even abroad.
If you have ever met a humble and honest person, and if you have a discerning Spirit you will notice an inscription written in the person's heart and face.
In the case of Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State, I saw his inscription that read; "Follow work by faith and faith with work, a golden key to success." That's his character.
No wonder he makes unique contributions to his country Nigeria and at home, which is Ebonyi State and extended it abroad as well.
Despite all the unique national development contributions the Igbo people have made so far in Nigeria, clogs are still there in the political situation report.
In this topic, I want to use the political denials meted out to the Igbos as an example in the cases of the Nigerian youths.
The Nigerian youths are also suffering the same fate of the denials of their rights to be leaders of today and tomorrow.
The old big shots in politics never deemed it fit, to allow things to go the way that God had wanted them.
Let nobody be annoyed about what I have to say in this space that touches my heart always.
Beyond all the cavil against the Igbos not to climb up the height of the Presidential mega office, something is now happening as a result of signs from above.
The political old bigwigs in the country defied the knowledge that Governor Umahi is honest, humble and fit to be the nation's President. It was a gross error.
He is a very humble, honest, coolheaded, perfect and loving covenant character investment of God. Even the blind can feel it and the dumb can also say it.
That Presidential slot denied him has got repercussions on those, who didn't allow him the opportunity to fly the high flag of the topmost table in Nigeria.
They denied him the table and defied knowledge and wisdom, that would have been useful to heal Nigeria's political situation.
When people defy knowledge, deny people opportunities and resist God, the repercussion will follow as a resultant sign.
Now there are uncontrollable lots within the weighty political parties, who don't know a sign between God and the country.
Uncontrollable big men are all over the podiums, defying every understanding in their various political parties being heady.
Inside it, they weigh heavily on the prospects of the new age in Nigeria by creating problems.
They are having big problems because the youths ought to get a place in the Nigerian plan of growth, and all the scheme of things is blocked by the hefty old big shots. It is a big case.
The big men are becoming too personal, and heavily obstinate to manage within their political parties because of old age, and their weight can suppress life.
I don't know the reason they overweigh the capacity of the nation not to survive their size.
They keep adding more weight over Nigeria and also keeping people very uncomfortable and highly disorganized from head to toe.
They take too much out of Nigeria and give nothing good in return, then became liabilities to the nation and the economy.
The reason I have to say all these things is because of the kind of old age these big shots occupy in the nation's polity.
They don't think of giving any room or chances for the young ones to serve the nation at all.
They stifle initiatives, quench the spirit, clog potentialities, and erode knowledge and wisdom.
For an instance, the edging out of a vibrant and healthy-looking youth like Governor Umahi not to expose his leadership wits, in the nation's topmost political position is a colossal mistake.
However, something happened and Peter Obi emerged in Labour Party as a presidential candidate - a sign of continued pressure for the correct thing to be done.
Can't we see it from the angle of the Spirit watch that the Will of God should have been done?
I will continue to lament it because of the way the nation is tattered in her administrative age, without the mental balance to amend the economic setbacks.
The old big shots in today's politics of the nation are doing the younger ones future harm.
They are round liabilities to the nation and the generations unborn, but they resist the sign.
If they continue to hide under this resistance, hindering all the existing chances of the youths, there will be boomerangs in it.
Governor Umahi of Ebonyi State didn't bother about the hitch he suffered, trying to show himself to the nation's polity as a young hopeful feat for the Presidency.
He took it seriously driving to give the youths their chances to be on top. It is now happening in the new political system of the Ebonyi State government.
Youths in this country cannot become liabilities to the nation if they are allowed to take over power from the old brigades.
This is for the fact that their health and age can't jeopardize anything in the nation's polity.
There are many intelligent, wise, creative, innovative, active, industrious and highly productive youths in the nation, who should be made leaders at the forefront and not behind.
God is fully interested in the youths to be allowed their rights and to hold the master keys of the nation's successive new generation of political regimes.
This is because the bigwigs in the mega political parties have developed personality troubles, and are getting too hefty for the nation to tolerate them further.
To God is the glory forever.
