The Chairman of community health practitioners, Ebonyi State chapter, Comrade Princess Chetachi Chibueze Agbo has said that her association has celebrated its annual community health week celebration alongside the National body of the organization.
Princess Chetachi Chibueze Agbo While addressing members in Abakaliki, the state capital said her association is very viable in the state in assuring peaceful coexistence between the state government and community health practitioners in the state.
The community health boss further stated that her office is using all preventive measures to combat any form of illness affecting the ruler community in Ebonyi, adding that her office is preventive, especially for children under five and pregnant women, urging them to constantly come out for monthly medication for the safety protection of health insurance for the mother and the unborn child.
She, however, warned community health employees to take their work seriously in discharging their authorized duties, noting that the community health workers should always make use of standing order guidelines that will guide them in preventing illness at the grassroots level.
She also appealed to the state government led by Engr Davide Umahi to critically look into their salaries while they will be paid at the expected time, pointing outting that the government should reimburse some of the allowances inhabited to the health practitioners and pay to them.
