Lawrence Egede presents a media plea to the conscience of the Ebonyi citizens especially the stakeholders on the political matters of the families in the State.
It is high time that all the past and present leaders who were governors, Sole Administrators, their Deputies, and Legislators both at the State and the Federal levels that are still alive should come together at a conference table, and discuss political unity, equity, fairness, truth and justice in Ebonyi State polity especially now.
Ebonyi State should be the first place in Nigeria to bring in the Ark of God, to bear witness to the sacred unity pact of the citizenry.
The earlier the better that any form of segmental politics is put aside, no matter the laws in partisan relationship interest.
Personal and unfair group interest is diverting the unity of political movement, from the direct road to the bush pathway now in Ebonyi State.
The Ebonyi State political issues are to me too heavy a bulk load for one Servant or a leader, no matter his age, experience and wisdom. He requires a backup.
The Ebonyi State Youths of today should not allow the present political situation report to tarnish their unity.
The Elders in politics will soon fizzle out of active participation in governance, including those who are thinking that their ages won't expire any longer on earth.
Ebonyi State is a geographically conglomerate family, arranged naturally as a home of brothers and sisters, based on Tripod Table Stand and not In a Dual Legged Political Bloc Interest of old Abakaliki and Afikpo blocs.
This Tripartite sharing formula of political interest including Ebonyi North, Central and South Senatorial Districts has a string attached to it, with a triangular equilibrium kind of joint law to govern the principles of Unity, togetherness, understanding and cooperation in Ebonyi State polity.
This is not suggesting that the young generation should have no more divergent opinions to make, especially in the politics of the day, but care should be taken not to crash the already ongoing process for the good purpose of equity, before any new power shift arrangement.
The power shift cycle for now should not suffer a deadly blow, because of sheer political Bloc interest. The Youths in politics can always adjust themselves and enjoy their objectives.
Much time is still there for them to do amendments to political issues of their age.
For those who are old enough to unite the youths and avoid disorganizing their interest, my advice to them is that under no circumstance should they allow Ebonyi State to break apart.
The present Charter of equity is not a Scatter of Unity in Ebonyi State, as a Stable Family Circle.
To God is the glory forever.
