The Apex Socio-cultural youth organization of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide Ohanaeze Youth Council, OYC, has condemned, in totality, the recent attack on Obi-Datti presidential campaign convoy at Kastina, describing it, as an unfortunate situation.
Comrad. Igboayaka O. Igboayaka, the National President of Ohanaeze Youth, while frowning at the attack, called for a more intensive campaign and political sensitization and reorientation of the teenagers and the Youth in Kastina, Sokoto, Gombe, Kano, Kaduna
In a release made available to newsmen, Igboayaka asserted that those that stoned Peter Obi was instigated by some politicians in Kastina, Sokoto, Gombe, Kano, and Kaduna, who according to him, had deprived the teenagers and youths of basic education to keep them in perpetual slavery.
"It's very ironic that those that attacked Peter Obi are those he has planned to lift out of poverty, both intellectual poverty and material poverty.
"The incident that happened to Peter Obi is evidence of political brainwashing going on in some Northern states by selfish and wicked politicians to create more Alamajiri.
"Most Northern Teenagers and youths are deliberately denied an education by politicians in the North, to keep them as beggars and shoe shiners, while the same Northern Governors, Senators, Ministers, Federal House of Representatives members State House of Assembly members, Director in federal and State agencies send their children to the best schools in the world.
Continuing, he said: "Recent statistics prove that illiteracy in Nigeria, is more rampant in the Northern States, as incited by some Northern Leaders. Those who stoned Peter Obi missed their target which should be Some Northern past and present Presidents starting from President Mohammadu Buhari, State Governors, Senators etc.
"0¹The Attack on Peter Obi should throw every progressive-minded person in the North to reflect and meditates on why illiteracy is higher in Northern Nigeria than in Southern Nigeria even after most regions produced the most Heads of State and President of Nigeria since 1960 Nigeria's Independence.
"’
I, therefore, urged
the few enlightened youths in the North use their local languages(Mother's tongue) to keep sensitization and enlightenment their teenagers and Youth about the harm the politician from the North have done to them since 1960, and prepare to massive elect Mr Peter Obi and Datti Ahmed to lead the country as only guarantee to lift them out of poverty.
It's now very crucial that the first inaugural speech of Peter Obi when elected must capture the declaration of compulsory free education in most of the Northern states from Primary School to Secondary school with the best-modernized equipment and infrastructure, Igboayaka concluded.
