President Mohammadu Buhari on Friday inaugurated the Ebonyi International Airport which is named after him.
The Airport, named the President Mohammadu Buhari International Airport is located at Onueke, in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State Capital.
Buhari commended Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State for building the Airport.
He expressed joy over Governor Umahi's prudence to manage the State resources while in office.
Nigeria's President noted that the Airport would boost the economy of the State in particular and the country in general.
His words: "I'm delighted with the level of Development in Ebonyi State under the watch of Governor David Umahi. Umahi has done tremendously well in the development of the State."
In his remark, Governor Umahi appreciated President Buhari for his numerous contributions to the development of Nigeria and Ebonyi State in particular.
"Let me thank President Mohammadu Buhari for all the support he has given to the Ebonyi people. There has never been a time I run to him to help Ebonyi State that he declined," Umahi started.
Also, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Airport Project, Engr Ngwu Frank expressed happiness over the actualisation of the Airport.
Engr Ngwu expressed gratitude to God for giving the Ebonyians a workaholic leader like Governor Umahi who prioritized the needs of the state.
